Frequently asked questions
General
During your first CBT session, we will discuss your current issues and goals for therapy. This initial session helps us understand your needs and develop a personalised treatment plan.
Yes, we offer online therapy sessions for clients who prefer remote consultations. Please email me at caroline.lucas.cbt@gmail.com (caroline.lucas.cbt@gmail.com)and I can send you more information and my booking link.
My practice is open on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, appointments are available from 1pm to 8pm. We are closed on weekends and public holidays.

You can cancel your appointment using the client portal - on the appointments page there will be an option to cancel your appointment.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapy that helps individuals understand the thoughts and feelings that influence their behaviours. It is commonly used to treat a wide range of disorders, including phobias, addiction, depression, and anxiety.
My practice is located at Cavendish House, Plumpton Road, Hoddesdon, EN11 0LB. I offer a comfortable and private environment for all our clients. Whilst my office and waiting area are on the ground floor it is not suitable for wheelchair access unfortunately. I also offer online appointments.
I currently work with AXA, Aviva, Bupa and Vitality.
I currently charge £85 for a 50 minute session.
If you are insurer funded, authorisation should be confirmed before booking any sessions. I work with, AXA, Aviva, Bupa and Vitality you can find me on the Private Practice Register (PPR)(https://www.healthcode.co.uk/the-ppr/)
You can provide me with your membership number and authorisation code when you complete my contract online. You will not need to pay for the session when you book although, depending on your level of cover, there may be excess due. Please discuss this with your insurer.
Yes, there is free parking available.
